My name is Theresa. Let me first tell why I fell in love with nutrition.  I am going to tell you what life was like for me and why I chose to be a health coach and help people just like myself.


         I could not find a way to lose weight. I bought book after book, went on diet after diet                                                             and still, nothing worked.

After feeling hopeless and fed up with the constant dieting and endless books on the market, I decided I needed to make a major change.



Life changed when I chose to learn about Nutrition at the Institute for Integrative Nutrition in NYC.  I knew there was something missing in my journey to lose weight; something no one was telling me.

I finally found the answers.  Not only did I find the answers to weight loss, but I also discovered why we get sick.


For me, I had no idea the food I was eating was making me sick, tired and leading to my weight gain. At school I was educated to look beyond the symptoms and look for the root cause. I began to see diseases such as diabetes, dementia, heart disease, and more as something we can fix . Here is what I learned - "Food changes everything." 

Before Nutrition school, I would ask myself, " Why was I not losing weight?" "Is this my fault?"

I hated looking in the mirror and I felt depressed. Because I loved to eat!!! I was starving myself, and getting
                                                                                            
NO results!!!

                                                                                I did not know what to do.
                                                                                Today, this is not the case.

                                           I found the answers that I was looking for, both physically and emotionally. 

                                                                                                So what happened?


                                                         I started to eat whole foods, I started to do self care

I gave up processed foods, stopped eating preservatives and ditched the toxins and keep in mind this did not happen overnight.

But, I realized when it comes to weight loss, food cravings and disease, I just needed to go back to the basics. I was looking for all the right answers in the wrong places and hoping for a quick fix. 
                                                          I know and I am sure you do too - that
diets do not work.

Diets left me drained, depleted and hopeless. I would lose and gain it and lose it and gain it. Everyone is different but what I have learned through my own weight loss journey, that it is not just about the food on my plate. I needed to learn how to balance my busy mom and business owner life. 
 

I believe that everyone should be able to enjoy their life to the fullest, and not be bogged         down by stress,  poor health, and extra weight that makes you feel blah. 


I help women to lose weight through healthy eating, balancing stress and the right nutrition. My training at The Institute for

My philosophy does not involve counting calories or having a strict disciplined diet that involves deprivation. I advocate living a healthy life that integrates all aspects of your lifestyle. It is my mission to serve you with personalized attention, high quality integrated health care and an opportunity to infuse your life with wellness and balance. I take great satisfaction in helping my clients make nutrition and lifestyle changes that boost their energy, heal chronic illnesses, reduce stress, and allow their bodies to function at their fullest capacity.


My Mission is to help people to understand how what we eat affects us in many different ways, not only our weight, but our overall well being and ability to live a healthy, happy, long life where we look and feel incredible and by helping them with this, to empower them with tools and resources.  I will help others not only know what to eat, and why, but to help them obtain it, to know what to buy when they shop, and then how to integrate that into their everyday lives.  

My goal is to help others fully understand nutrition so that they do not encounter pain, and unnecessary suffering which many of us just attribute to growing old, when, in fact, it is something that could have been prevented through education. Nutrition and exercise.

My credentials:  I hold a BS from Providence College, Providence, RI.  My nutritional education is through the Institute for Integrative Nutrition. Functional Nutrition Labs, and School of Applied Functional Medicine.  And I am a Founding member of IMPACT (International membership of professional advisors, coaches and trainers).
